Call for Editorial Assistant/Social Media Manager (Voluntary Position)


Journal of African Cinemasis seeking an editorial assistant/social media 
manager to manage the social media presence of the journal. If you are 
looking to gain experience of working with an exciting peer-reviewed 
journal, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills, network and 
to contribute to the development of a journal that has been supporting 
the growth of African film studies and the work of emerging authors and 
scholars globally since its inception in 2009. This is a role that would 
suit a postgraduate student and/or someone wishing to develop an 
academic or publishing career.


Duties:


  *

    Assist the principal editor in administrative duties.

  *

    Have a proactive role in taking the journal forward, following
    delineated strategies defined by the editorial board and the
    principal editors.

  *

    Participate in meetings with the principal editors.

  *

    Help support and develop social media content across a range of
    platforms and increase our visibility.

  *

    Liaise with the Intellect marketing team.
