[Commlist] Solutions Journalism Workshop: The Power of the Positive

Transitions <http://www.tol.org>, a Prague-based publisher and 
journalism training institute, is excited to announce "The Power of The 
Positive,"  a 2-day free online workshop on solutions journalism on 
16-17 May from 14:00-17:00 CET.

We invite professionals from media industries; students, faculty, and 
researchers in academia; and members of the general public to attend 
this event.

Are you tired of the negative, problem-focused news that leaves you 
feeling overwhelmed and helpless? Do you want to learn how the media can 
report on solutions to social issues and inspire audiences with stories 
of positive change? Our expert trainers and guest speakers will guide 
you through the principles and practices of solutions journalism, a new 
approach to reporting that emphasizes effective responses to social 
issues, rather than just the problems.
