Proposals for presentation are now being accepted for the Third International Conference on Media and Communication (ICMAC) 2023 to be held from 28^th  to 30^th , September 2023. The conference will focus on Creative Industries, in contemporary times, as it reconfigures itself to the changing socio-political and economic environment.

The confirmed keynote speakers for the conference are –

*Prof. Sahana Udupa*, Professor of Media Anthropology at the University of Munich (LMU), Germany

*Prof. Aswin Punathambekar*, Professor of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication, USA

In the (post) pandemic era, media spaces have made themselves available to individuals and communities, and to the audiences and the industry, like never before. They have allowed for the redefinition of creative industries, reimagination of narratives and blurred the boundaries between media and audiences. In these new ecoscapes, this conference will analyze, evaluate, and deliberate upon these altered mediated spaces and its repercussions on the social sensibilities of the times. The third edition of International Conference on Media and Communication (ICMAC) 2023, being organized by Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Symbiosis International University, seeks to place these important discussions on the mantle. ICMAC 2023 invites academics, research scholars, practitioners and post-graduate students to participate and submit 300–500 word abstracts to the conference, in line with the following tracks –

Track I: Narrativizing Culture: Flows, Scapes and Conversations

Track II: Streaming Cultures: Platforms, Perspectives, Policies and Peoples

Track III: Rearticulating Convergence for Journalism: Theory and Praxis

Track IV: From Creative Industry to Creative Economy: The Shifting Paradigms

Proposals for poster presentations are invited from post-graduate students and PhD scholars only and proposals for paper presentations are invited from members of the academia and industry. Select papers will be published through proposed reputable journals and as edited texts.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is July 15, 2023. All proposals should be submitted through the conference’s database *icmac.simc.edu <http://icmac.simc.edu/>*
