teachers, filmmakers, policy-makers and academics.
This year the conference will be broadcast online on Zoom. All attendees
will be emailed a link to join the conference in advance of the first
session. The event is free to attend and is geared both towards those

Since its inception in 1995, Cinéma, cent ans de jeunesse, has steadily
grown to become one of the largest and most influential film education
initiatives in the world today. Groups of young people across the world
between the ages of 6 and 18 take part in annual programmes of film
education focused around a different topic chosen every year, in which
the parallel activities of watching and making films are not only
interlinked, but inseparable. With the recent announcement that the
project will no longer be continuing in its current form at La
Cinémathèque Française, we are delighted to welcome programme founder
Nathalie Bourgeois to share her reflections on the project's successes,
challenges, and future prospects.
This keynote event is hosted by*Dr Bettina Henzler*(University of Bremen)

frequently poses challenges to educators working in secondary school
contexts where film is not always considered a key part in the
curriculum. In this panel we welcome practitioners from Northern

developing innovative assessment frameworks in film education. Speakers
