[ecrea] Denis McQuail and Giovanni Gozzini - key speakers at the conference 'New Media - New Possibilities'

We invite you to the Fourth International Scientific-Expert Conference
Media and PR with theme  ''New Media - New Possibilities'' which will be
held from 17 to 19 June 2016 in Bijelo Polje, Montenegro.

The conference organizers are the Union of Local Public Broadcasters of
Montenegro, the Academy of Social Sciences, Local public broadcaster
Radio Bijelo Polje, Journal Media and Communication/Media and
Communications.

Patrons of the conference are the University of Montenegro, Agency for
Electronic Media of Montenegro and the Municipality of Bijelo Polje.

The aim of the conference is to analyze the role of new media in
contemporary society from different angles (the media, regulatory,
technological, cultural, etc.) and to highlight the opportunities that
they provide.

It is planned that the first day of the conference a few thematic panel
discussions to be held on which will participate scholars and media
representatives. The second day scientific papers will be presented,
while the third day is devoted to the conclusions.

So far, participation as a keynote speakers confirmed *Dr. Denis
McQuail*, Emeritus Professor (School of Communication Research-ASCOR,
University of Amsterdam, Netherlands) and*Dr.  Giovanni Gozzini*
(Faculty of Humanities, University of Siena, Italy).

Fee for participation in the conference will be announced later.

Conference languages are MNE/SR/CRO/BiH and English.

We are looking for academic papers which are focused on the following
topics (but not limited to):

•Redefining media / journalism / audience
•Regulation / Self-regulation in new media
•Interactivity and nonlinearity of new media
•New technology and new possibilities
•Culture and new media
•Journalism 2.0
•Integration of newsrooms

•Fragmentation of the audience
•User-generated content (UGC)
•Public / participatory / citizen journalism
•Data journalism
•Social media as a new public sphere




Important dates:
The abstract submission deadline March 10, 2016.
Deadline for applications March 20, 2016.
Deadline for submissions April 20, 2016.

Abstract in length up to 300 words with a maximum of five keywords,
contains the subject and purpose, hypotheses, methods, results and
conclusions.

journal Media and Communication / Mediji i komunikacije.
