[ecrea] Call for Authors: SAGE Encyclopedia of Ethnomusicology

We are contacting you regarding a writing/publishing opportunity in the 
upcoming reference work to be published in 2016: The SAGE Encyclopedia 
of Ethnomusicology. The SAGE Encyclopedia of Ethnomusicology will be an 
A-to-Z perspective, documenting musical styles, genres and activities 
and will examine musical practices in various cultures and subcultures, 
locations (cultures bound by geography) and movements (political, 
economic or other social forces).  The SAGE Encyclopedia of 
Ethnomusicology will include approximately 800 articles organized A-Z 
across the volumes in the following categories:

Behavioral and Social Contexts
Genres, Broad Categories
Genres, Forms
Genres, Style Types
Indigenous Music (By Region)
Movements (Organized actions of a group for political, economic, social 
purposes)
Music Cultures of the World (By country)
Musical Instruments (types, classifications, views and practices)
Practice in Ethnomusicology (Disciplinary practices, techniques, 
perspectives)
Social Issues (Topics of investigation and analysis)
Social Structures Dispersed Across Geographic Locations
Theory and Method

Each 1,000 to 5,000-word article will include the name and affiliation 
of the contributor in the byline entry. The General Editor reviewing 
project submissions is Dr. Janet L. Sturman of the University of 
Arizona. If you are interested in learning more about contributing to 
this publication including receiving the complete list of articles, 
article submission guidelines and a sample article for review, please

CV. We are currently making assignments with an article submission 
deadline of December 1, 2014.

We hope you will consider joining us in the creation of this 
encyclopedia. Contributing to this cutting-edge reference can also be a 
notable publication addition to your CV/resume. In addition, SAGE 
Publications offers an honorarium ranging from SAGE book credits for 
smaller articles up to a  free set of the printed product for 
contributions totaling 10,000 words or more. Please note there are over
