[ecrea] Call for Papers - “Media Diversity: Concept, Analysis, Policy” - 25 to 26 November, 2014

Centre for Culture, Media & Governance (CCMG), Jamia Millia Islamia 
(JMI), New Delhi in collaboration
with Institute for Media Studies (IMS), KU Leuven, is organising an 
international conference on “*Media Diversity:*
*Concept, Analysis, Policy*” supported by VLIR-UOS from 25th to 26th 
November, 2014, at Jamia Millia
Islamia University. The conference will provide a platform for 
understanding media diversity as a concept, ways
to operationalize the concept, and techniques to measure and analyse it.

The aim of the international conference is to build a network of 
scholars working on issues of Media Diversity
and therefore, conference papers can address the themes in the following 
categories:

• Understanding Diversity in Plural Societies
• Context of Media Diversity
• Techniques to measure and analyse Media Diversity in the Indian context
• Issues & mechanisms of Policy Advocacy on Media Diversity

Those interested in attending the conference can attend by paying a 
minimum participation fee of Rs 1000/- The fees
can be paid via Demand Draft (DD) in favour of The Registrar, Jamia 
Millia Islamia, New Delhi and should be sent
by post to the address given below along with the registration form 
which can be downloaded from the website:

Participants will be given a certificate of participation for attending 
both days of the conference. The participation
fee will include the cost of lunch, refreshment and conference kit.
