[ecrea] CFP Special issue on "Television distribution: Economic dimensions, emerging policies"

We invite you to submit papers for a special issue in Informatics and
Telematics on 'Television distribution: Economic dimensions, emerging
policies'.
Guest editors of the special issue are Tom Evens (iMinds-MICT, Ghent
University) and Karen Donders (iMinds-SMIT, Free University Brussels).
The goal of the special issue is to bring together high-level academic
contributions, which reflect both on the theoretical and empirical
aspects of broadcasting-distribution relations in specific national or
supranational contexts around the world. Comparative research to the
economics and policies of television distribution is particularly welcome.
Topics will include but are not limited to:
* Carriage disputes between broadcasters and distributors;
* Consolidation patterns in TV distribution;
* Pricing strategies in TV distribution;
* Triple play and service bundling;
* Trends in pay-TV packaging;
* TV Everywhere strategies;
* Smart and Connected TV;
* OTT business models;
* Competitive dynamics in distribution markets;
* Cord-cutting and cord-shaving;
* Impact of new TV viewing behaviour;
* Implications for competition policy and regulation;
* Implications for converged models for regulatory agencies;
* Net neutrality and OTT platforms.
Deadline for submission is January, 15, 2015.
