Animation Festival – Edge Hill University 14th – 18th July 2014



Call for Films



CAKE supports a growing relationship and collaboration with China’s 
desire to develop animation as a cultural creative legacy, enhance its’ 
emerging industry and celebrate the collaboration and exchange between  
the UK animation education and industry sectors.

The festival provides a platform to showcase animation work from the UK 
and China celebrating animation innovation and creative process as the 
force in the partnership between academia and industry. The conference 
and festival focuses upon the important role of animation education in 
developing and providing new talent for the industry.



The CAKE festival welcomes submissions of animated work created in the 
UK from established animation directors and companies, new emerging 
talent, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate work produced no 
earlier than 1st January 2012 with a maximum duration of 30 minutes
