*Call for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships 2014 (IF)*
Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Sociedade-CECS (Communication and 
Society Research Center) is receiving applications for Marie 
Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships, in the context of Horizon 
2020-Work Programme 2014-2015.


Marie Curie Fellowships allow researchers of any nationality to work at 
an European research unit, and receive a substantial funding covering 
two year salary, research costs and overheads for the host institution. 
Applicant's projects must be articulated with the research areas 
developed at the host institution. Selection criteria include the 
project's quality and researcher future career, and the research 
conditions offered by the host institution. CECS is the leading 
Portuguese research center in the area of Communication Studies, the 
only evaluated with 'Excellent' in this area by an FCT international jury.


The following research directions, corresponding to major themes and 
sub-themes undertaken at CECS, are welcomed for applications:
- Media and Journalism: media in the digital environment; journalism and 
convergence; media, literacy and citizenship; creative technologies and 
communication.
- Cultural Studies: material culture; social representations; Lusophony 
Studies; scientific culture.
- Communication, organizations and social dynamics: strategic 
communications; reflective societies; social inclusion; societal challenges.


The application will include:
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Research Project presented within the Research Executive Agency (REA) 
form, mentioning the area the candidate wish to apply, inside the 3 
areas previewed by CECS.


Candidates who pretend to carry out works with CECS framework should 
send to this centre a pre-applicant before 31st July. The proposals 
pre-selected by CECS can be submitted to the Research Executive Agency 
(REA), with CECS as host institution for the following type of mobility: 
Marie Curie Individual Fellowships (IF) H2020-MSCA-IF-2014. The deadline 
for application to REA is 11th September 2014, 17h00 Brussels time.
