[ecrea] CFP MONTENEGRO Reminder 'Journalism - The Crisis of the Profession'

The Union of Local Public Broadcasters of Montenegro organizes the Second International Scientific-Expert Conference Media and PR with subject “Journalism – The Crisis of the Profession” which will be held 13 June – 15 June 2014. in Bijelo Polje, Montenegro.

The patrons of the Conference are the Ministry of Science of Montenegro, Ministry of Human and Minority Rights of Montenegro and Agency for Electronic Media of Montenegro, hosts are Local Public Broadcaster Radio Bijelo Polje and Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro, while partners are faculties of the region in which media are studied, then the media and journalist associations of the region and international organizations.

The objective of the conference is to explore the causes of the crisis of modern journalism through various aspects: ethical, cultural, social, economic and technological, both in traditional and in new media.

The topic will be discussed on the first day of the Roundtable where panelists will be experts in the field of media with the more than 50 participants from media and faculties. The Keynote speakers are Paolo Mancini (Italy) and Richard Rooke (United Kingdom).

The second day of conference will be dedicated to presentations of scientific papers in a number of sessions along with discussions. Interested authors can submit abstracts and papers in some of languages of former Yugoslavia or in English.

The deadline for abstract submission is 1 April; the deadline for submissions of works is 1 May of 2014. All accepted papers will be published in international scientific journal, Media and Communication.

Participation in the conference can be confirmed no later than 15 April 2014. by sending a completed application form to e-mail (ulescg /at/ gmail.com). The same e-mail can be used for sending abstracts and works.
