[ecrea] ICOMM Call for Proposals for ISA 2015 and ISA West

Call for papers, International Communication Section (ICOMM) of the 
International Studies Association (ISA).
The 56^th Annual ISA Convention will take place February 18th - 21st 
2015 in New Orleans. The conference theme is “Global IR and Regional 
Worlds: A New Agenda for International Studies”. The deadline for 
submissions is *June 1st, 2014.*
The International Communication section welcomes proposals for papers, 
panels and roundtables from researchers working on topics relating to 
communication and related technologies, culture, media, information and 
knowledge in the context of International Studies. It also encourages 
participation from those bringing such approaches to bear in fields 
related to International Studies.
The International Communication section was officially chartered by ISA 
in 2000. The section is broadly interested in issues including (but not 
limited to), the impact of information technologies in world politics, 
the role of the media in foreign policy, cultural dimensions of 
international studies, the political economy of the communications 
industries, information in the global order.
ISA's Governing Council and Program Chairs have defined the types of 
proposals we accept. You can find out more about our submission types on 
our website, www.isanet.org.
   * Papers: Accepted papers will be formed into panels by our program
     chairs. They require a title (limited to 50 words), an abstract
     (limited to 200 words), three tags, and at least one author.
   * Panels: Panels are submitted in full with five papers for review
     by our program chairs. They require a title (limited to 50 words),
     an abstract (limited to 200 words), three tags, a chair, a
     discussant, and exactly five papers. Please note that we do not
     accept four or six paper panels.
   * Roundtables: Roundtables are submitted in full for review by our
     program chairs. They do not have papers and are designed for
     expert discussion on a topic. They require a title (limited to 50
     words), an abstract (limited to 200 words), three tags, and at
     least three participants in addition to one chair.

ICOMM Call for Proposals for ISA West 2014
We are pleased to announce that ICOMM will have two panels at The 
International Studies Association West Region 2014 annual conference, 
September 26th - 27th, in Pasadena, California, USA.  If you would like 
to propose a paper, panel and roundtable proposals on the role of on 
topics relating to communication and related technologies, culture, 
media, information and knowledge in the context of International Studies.
Please submit your proposals via email directly to ICOMM Chair Jenifer 
Whitten-Woodring (jenifer_whittenwoodring /at/ uml.edu) by* June 2, 2014*. For 
paper proposals submit an abstract, for panel proposals submit a panel 
abstract and abstracts for each paper, for roundtable proposals submit 
an abstract and list of participants.
