> Proposals are invited for 20 minute 
> presentations on topics related to the broad 
> field of Animation and Computer Games. Topics 
> may include, but are not limited to:
>
> Techniques and technology
> Pedagogy/teaching/learning
> The (inter)disciplinary nature of the field
>       Philosophical and theoretical debates
> Historical case studies
> Methodological issues (e.g. the relationship to 
> cognate areas such as film, digital media)
> Hybridity and convergence (animation, games, digital effects)
> Audiences and fans
> Communities of practice; the relationship between theory and practice
>
> The symposium will consist of panels chosen from 
> accepted proposals, along with some invited 
> presentations from academics, practitioners and industry insiders.
>
> Submissions can be:
>
> 1. Individual
>
> All presenters should provide their name and 
> institutional affiliation (where applicable), 
> along with the title of their presentation, an 
> abstract of 300 words, 3-5 keywords, 3-5 key 
> bibliographical references, any specific 
> technical requirements for their presentation.
>
> 2. Pre-constituted panel
>
> Pre-constituted panels on specific topics are 
> also welcome. Panels may consist of 3- 4 
> speakers with a maximum of 20 minutes speaking time each.
>
> Each pre-constituted panel should have a Chair, 
> who co-ordinates the submission of their panel 
> proposal which should include: a panel title, a 
> short description (up to 100 words) of the panel 
> and information on all the papers and presenters as listed above under 1.
>
> Please note that all presenters must be 
> affiliated to the South West region ? either 
> working, studying or living in the region ? in 
> order to present. (Research students who are 
> from the South West, but studying elsewhere, are eligible).
>
> Attendance at the symposium is free and open to all however.
>
> All proposals for papers and panels should be
