XXIX Conference of the Spanish Society of Journalism Studies
(Sociedad Española de Periodística, SEP)
New Deadline for submissions: April 13th 2023
The Spanish Society of Journalism Studies (Sociedad Española de
Periodística, SEP) and the Blanquerna School of Communications and
International Relations (Ramon Llull University) organize the XXIX
edition of the SEP conference, which will take place in Barcelona on
June 29th and 30th, 2023, focused on the topic: "Journalists in
redefinition. Roles and new professional profiles".
Suggested topics for communications include, but are not limited to:
1. Professional profiles and business in journalism.
2. Key functions of journalism as a profession.
3. Training needs for journalists: from universities to ongoing
redefinition.
4. Journalists 4.0: from digital journalism to the metaverse.
5. Artificial intelligence and journalism: advantages and challenges of
automation.
6. Journalists against disinformation.
7. Personal branding and journalists: informers or influencers.
8. Brand journalists: from press offices to branded content.
Each of the eight panels will be offered in in-person, hybrid, and
online formats.
Communications are accepted for review in English or Spanish.
The deadline for submissions has been extended until April 13th 2023.
