[ecrea] Funded PhD Studentships at the University of Surrey

The University of Surrey has announced two rounds of funded PhD 
studentships for October 2019 entry. We welcome applications for doing a 
PhD in media and communication related areas – particularly topics 
exploring new and emerging technologies, media audiences, media 
literacies, the sociology of data and platforms amongst other areas.
There are two studentship competitions open. (1) The Doctoral College 
Studentship Award 2019 entry details are available here

. Please note that the initial deadline for applicants to apply for a 
PhD place is 3 December and then they have to submit the specific 
studentship application form by 11 January. (2) The Faculty of Arts and 
Social Sciences PhD studentship competition is also open. The deadline 
for applications to to the Sociology department for those interested in 
a Media/Comms phd is 17 March 2019. See
