Queensland

The School of Communication and Arts 
<https://communication-arts.uq.edu.au/> is one of seven schools in the 
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at UQ. It has an international 
reputation for outstanding research and teaching in Literary Studies, 
Art History and Curatorship, Communication, Media and Cultural Studies, 
Film and Television Studies, Drama and Theatre Studies, Journalism and 
Writing. With around 50 academic staff, the School is recognised as one 
of the leading research intensive schools across Australia.

Working closely with the Executive Dean of Humanities and Social 
Sciences, the successful candidate will provide academic leadership that 
will build on the current record of excellence of teaching and research 
across all the disciplines in the School. You will also continue to 
promote and maintain strong and productive partnerships to enhance its 
engagement profile.

The position requires a distinguished academic with the vision and 
leadership qualities required to foster a culture of research, teaching 
excellence and engagement across a multi-disciplinary environment. You 
will be a team player, capable of acting in the best interests of the 
School, the Faculty and the institution.
