The Internet of Toys: Digitising Early Childhood International Preconference
Call for abstracts
Come and join us in Manchester UK for the Internet of Toys (Digitising
Early Childhood) Pre-conference held on Wednesday 6 March, 2019 at the
Manchester Conference Centre. Please visit the website for further

Abstracts will be double-blind peer reviewed and the pre-conference will
be structured as follows:
• Welcome and keynote (to be confirmed) 9.15-10.30
• Morning coffee 10.30-11.00
• 6 parallel sessions 11.00-12.30
• Lunch 12.30-13.30
• 6 parallel sessions 13.30-15.00
• Afternoon tea 15.00-15.30
• 6 parallel sessions 15.30-17.00
• Preconference dinner (PYOW)
The cost of the pre-conference is £50 per delegate, including conference
materials, lunch and refreshments.
Following the pre-conference is the Re-conceptualising Early Childhood
Literacies: An International Conference Thursday 7 and Friday 8 March
2019. This is the DigiLitEY COST Action and H2020 Project MakEY project
final conference and it will report ground-breaking findings from their
years of funded research.
The abstracts are due 15th October 2018. Peer reviewed full conference
papers will be published and plans are being made to further publish in
a special issue journal or chaptered book.
Conference accommodation is offered at reduced rates of £89/night from
the Conference Centre Hotel, The Pendulum. Alternative accommodation
