[ecrea] Panel at IR16: STS meets Internet Governance
Wed Feb 11 20:09:01 GMT 2015
Dmitry Epstein, Francesca Musiani and Christian Katzenbach plan to put
together a panel addressing the intersection between Science and
Technology Studies and Internet Governance for IR16 in Phoenix, October
2015 (http://aoir.org/ir16/). Our idea is to strengthen the nascent
interest in investigating the governance of digitally networked
environments from an STS-informed perspective. We consider the panel a
starting point for this conversation, with possible follow-ups like a
full-day workshop in Berlin 2016 and a special issue of a journal (eg.
Internet Policy Review http://www.policyreview.info)
If you are interested in joining this conversation (either for the IR16
panel or more generally), please drop us a line.
With regard to the IR16 panel: We already have 3 papers, so there are up
to two spots to fill. If you like to join, please drop us a line before
February 18. The deadline for submissions is March 1 with a 1200-word
abstract for each paper.
Looking forward,
Christian Katzenbach ((katzenbach /at/ hiig.de) <mailto:(katzenbach /at/ hiig.de)>)
Dmitry Epstein ((dmitry /at/ uic.edu) <mailto:(dmitry /at/ uic.edu)>)
Francesca Musiani ((francesca.musiani /at/ mines-paristech.fr)
