Fri Feb 06 22:48:43 GMT 2015

ICCE wishes to appoint an interdisciplinary scholar to consolidate its achievements and contribute to its emerging research strengths. The successful candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent) and a track record of research relevant to ICCE’s interdisciplinary areas, for example cultural and creative industries. The candidate will have published in international peer-reviewed journals and ICCE is keen to encourage scholarship that demonstrates impact. In addition the candidate will demonstrate the enthusiasm and skills to teach students, and supervise their research, at all levels of our programmes.

The successful candidate will deliver a new module covering issues in cultural and creative industries, as part of the MA in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship, a course which also includes theories of cultural industries, new business models and modeling techniques, marketing, social media and financial modeling. The candidate will also be offered the opportunity to contribute to undergraduate programmes and ICCE’s plans for a research centre.

ICCE welcomes applications from a range of disciplinary perspectives able to answer the core questions confronting the cultural and creative sector. These include, but are not limited to, sociology, geography, business and management studies, media and communication studies and cultural studies.
