The Department of Journalism, Film and Television at the University of 
Johannesburg currently has a vacancy for an Assistant Lecturer to teach 
across the two BA undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Journalism 
studies and Film and Television studies respectively.



This is a 3 year tenure track position which requires a candidate with 
an MA degree in journalism, film and/or television or closely related 
field. The candidate must be willing to register for a PhD and to 
undertake to make progress towards this degree within 3 years of taking 
up the position.  Equity candidates are encouraged to apply.
