[ecrea] PhD Scholarships in Languages and Intercultural Studies

The Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies, based in the 
School of Management and Languages at Heriot-Watt University, is 
offering two Professorial PhD Scholarships

five James Watt/SML Scholarships 
<http://hw-pg-comms.co.uk/175A-283CY-8XINDK-Y0SQ7-1/c.aspx> to start in 
the academic year 2014-15. The term of the scholarships is three years. 
Successful candidates will be expected to make a contribution to 
activities in the Department in return for a fee-waiver, a maintenance 
allowance of £13,726 and a research support allowance of £2,250 over the 
registered period of study.

Any language combinations may be proposed, but the Department has 
particular research interests in Chinese, English, French, German, 
Spanish and minority languages, including Irish Gaelic, Galician and
