Position 1: Television Studies
The University of Texas at Austin Department of
Radio-Television-Film seeks to fill a tenure-track position,
beginning Fall 2011, in television studies and/or the cultural
history of broadcasting in North America. A Ph.D. in media studies
or a related field is preferred, with a strong record in publishing
and teaching, and experience working with advanced graduate and
undergraduate students. Instructional responsibilities will
include the development of online courses, in accordance with a new
University-wide initiative. Salary commensurate with
experience. We will begin reviewing applications on February 7,
2011, and will continue until the position is filled.

Position 2: Screenwriting
The University of Texas at Austin Department of
Radio-Television-Film seeks to fill a tenure-track position in
screenwriting, beginning Fall 2011. Candidates must demonstrate a
strong creative and professional track record in screenwriting, and
be capable of supervising both undergraduate and graduate
students. Experience writing for both features and television is
desirable. Teaching experience and a terminal degree (MFA or PhD)
are strongly preferred but not required. Application materials
must be received by February 7, 2011.
