Nominations invited for CSSC award 2010

The Communication for Sustainable Social Change center (CSSC) invites
nominations for its 2010-11 Communication for Sustainable Social Change
Award.

The annual award honors outstanding contributions by individuals or
organizations to the theory and practice of communication for sustainable
social change. Intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations,
international, regional and national academic and professional communication
associations, international media networks and communication and social
change consortia are encouraged to submit nominations for the award.

In selecting the award winner, the CSSC jury will consider both significant
contributions to the theory of CSSC and notable achievements in applied
communication practice. The theoretical and practical work of nominees
should reflect or be directly relevant to contemporary international work
being done in the field of CSSC. The deadline for submissions is May 1,
2010.

The recipient of the inaugural CSSC award was professor Robert Cox of the
University of North Carolina, former president of the Sierra Club.
