A symposium organised jointly by University of
Exeter, The Bill Douglas Centre for the History
of Cinema and Popular Culture and Topsham Museum.
Invited papers explore the life and work of the
the iconic actress, including the impact of ?Gone with the Wind?.

Topsham Museum, which has many connections with
Vivien Leigh and has a number of her possessions
in its collection, will host the day in
conjunction with Exeter University and The Bill Douglas Centre .

Prof.Taylor is Arts and Cultural Development Fellow at Exeter University
11.45am Dr. Jennie Cousins.
Film Costume: more than meets the eye
Dr Cousins holds a PhD from Exeter University
12.45pm. Lunch and an opportunity to view special exhibitions

Senior Lecturer in Movement and Acting at Arts
University College Bournemouth. She is also UK
artistic director to the La Mancha Theatre Company

Leigh at the BDC: star
memorabilia in the film archive.
PhD candidate at Exeter University, specialising
in female fan culture and film writing.
