   * The role of imagery in shaping place meanings and perceptions over time
* Changing forms of still and moving representation of rural and urban landscapes We still have some slots available for presenting posters in a friendly and supportive discursive setting at Projecting the Regions:People, Identity and Place, a day conference at Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester, UK taking place on Thursday 17 September 2009. If these themes interest you and could be shared and aired in a poster format, we would like to hear from you as soon as possible. Posters on any kind of related on-going research and public engagement initatives are most welcome. Come join us and register today!

This one day multi-disciplinary conference is an opportunity to join in with what should be a stimulating and visually rich exploration of the relationships between place identities and still and moving image. So do come along if you have interests in landscape, photography, film, television and media history, cultural and social studies, the history of leisure and tourism, regional change, historical geography, or just a curiosity to find out more.
