Teaching Fellow (fixed term - 3 years) (Ref. P12N2140)

The Department of Politics at the University of Exeter seeks =
to appoint a fixed term teaching fellow (three-years, full time) to =
contribute toward our UG teaching and student support. Since 2002, the =
Department has doubled in size to 31 members staff and it has =
established itself as a centre for leading international research in =
Politics and International Relations and is among the top 10 departments =
in the UK based on RAE 2008 -- 6th for world leading research (scored =
4), 9th for research of international excellence (scored 3 or better) =
and 10th on GPA across all elements. We currently offer a SH degree in =
Politics, a SH in International Relations and joint honours with =
History, languages, Philosophy, Economics, Leadership Studies and =
Geography.

Detailed information about the Department and our =
research/teaching can be found at: =

We are seeking a candidate with strong evidence for =
excellence in teaching in Politics. We welcome applications from any =
field in Politics but preference may be given to applicants who can =
provide replacement teaching on UG and PG modules on any combination of =
the following topics comparative politics, media and communication, =
political economy and public opinion.

Teaching responsibilities will include providing lectures =
and seminars in the candidate's area of expertise for undergraduate =
modules, post-graduate teaching if appropriate and delivering skills =
training by convening our dissertation modules. The successful applicant =
will, in addition, undertake administrative support (e.g. admissions and =
recruitment) consistent with academic staff. There are no =
responsibilities in research, the workload instead being divided between =
teaching and administration, although this division may be negotiated.=20
