Let me kindly inform you that the paper submission deadline for KMIS 2009 (International Conference on Knowledge Management and Information Sharing) has been extended to May 12, which is rapidly approaching in case you are interested in submitting a paper reflecting your research. KMIS will be held in Funchal, Madeira (a Portuguese sub-tropical island in the Atlantic), next October 6-8.

Further details can be found at the KMIS conference web site (http://kmis.ic3k.org). Please note that this conference is co-located and part of the Joint Conference on Knowledge Discovery, Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management (IC3K - www.ic3k.org) and registration to one entitles attendance to all three concurrent conferences.

The proceedings will be indexed by the DBLP Computer Science Bibliography. Additionaly, a selection of the best papers of the conference will be published in a book, by Springer-Verlag in the series "Communications in Computer and Information Science".
Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference.

Special sessions can still be proposed. If you'd like to take the opportunity to gather your R&D project group or hold a meeting within the scope of IC3K at the conference venue, please contact the secretariat. Special sessions are composed of invited papers which, after proper review by the special session chair, will be included in the conference proceedings.
