[ecrea] SL post at University of Lincoln

Fri Jul 17 10:26:24 GMT 2009

Colleagues

The following post is advertised in today's Times Higher - further
particulars at www.lincoln.ac.uk/vacancies

Lincoln School of Media

We are looking to appoint a candidate in any aspect of Cultural, Film
and/or Television Studies, but we would be especially interested in
those with expertise in European cultural/media studies. The School
houses the Centre for European Cultural Studies and the European Journal
of Cultural Studies. The research project 'Re-thinking Cultural Studies
in the New Europe' attracted British Academy funding and is the subject
of a forthcoming AHRC Network application. The AHRC funded 'Televising
History 1995-2010' project is also based in the School and further
funding to develop work in this area is being sought. There will be the
opportunity to develop research-informed teaching both at taught
undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The successful candidate will have a strong research portfolio with a
demonstrable record of publications and a clearly articulated plan for
future activity to enhance the School's submission to the REF. He/she
will be expected to be involved in shaping bids for external funding,
thus experience of attracting research funding would be an advantage.

Ann Gray
