[ecrea] Lectureship in Communication, Cultural and Media Studies at the University of Glamorgan

Fri Jul 17 07:44:04 GMT 2009

The University of Glamorgan invites applications from individuals who are keen
to develop an academic career in Communication, Cultural and Media Studies
at its successful new School of Creative and Cultural Industries located in the centre of Cardiff. You will have completed a PhD in a relevant subject, enjoy
working collaboratively and be passionate about teaching and learning. You
must be able to demonstrate clear potential to help us build upon our
successful submission to RAE 2008 and to develop and sustain our research
capacity. A new appointee would be expected to teach on a range of media
theory modules, but applicants with one or more of the following additional
specialisms would be particularly welcome: media and cultural policy;
alternative media; international media; journalism and society; creative and
cultural industries; and/or audience research. This is an ideal opportunity for
an early-career academic to make a commitment to a dynamic and supportive
subject team.
