The Department is one of the oldest of its kind in the
UK, with an established international reputation, and
achieved an excellent Research Assessment rating
of 3.15 in RAE 2008. Film & Television Studies offers
undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses and
has a thriving PhD programme.
You will have commitment to high quality scholarship,
research and teaching, and a completed PhD. Relevant
teaching experience and the ability to demonstrate an
emerging record of high quality publications will be
important assessment criteria. Applicants with specialist
interests in any area of film, television or screen studies
will be considered for the post.

Start date will be 1 September 2009 or as soon as
possible thereafter.
