postgraduate courses covering advertising, communications, cultural
studies, journalism, media, production and photography.
Following the School's recent RAE success, which acknowledged
world-leading research in all departments, 60% of research in the
School being judged at least internationally excellent, the Media
and Communication department seeks two proactive individuals to
further enhance our academic profile.

We are seeking an outstanding individual to oversee taught
postgraduate courses, lead the curriculum development of
postgraduate provision and support the research culture in the department.
The successful applicant will have an excellent research/publication
profile, experience of research supervision, and a well-established
expertise within the broad field of Media, Culture and Communication
studies. They will make a leading contribution to the research
profile of the department, supported by a new management team and a
dedicated research professor.

We are seeking an experienced academic to undertake teaching and
curriculum development in Applied Communication (Communication
Practice, PR, Political/ Corporate Communication), and also support
the Department's activities in media, at both undergraduate and
postgraduate level.
The successful applicant will have a track record of research,
scholarship and income generation in Media and Communication, with a
focus in Applied Communication. Priority will be given to candidates
with additional expertise in one or more of the following:
Social digital media
Screen media
Feminist/gender studies approaches to media,
