CALL FOR PAPERS

"New Economy" Comes of Age: Growth and Dynamics of Maturing New Media Companies

Papers are being sought for presentation at an international workshop on to be held at Jönköping International Business School, Jönköping University, Sweden, November 12-13, 2004. The workshop is sponsored by the Media Management and Transformation Centre at Jönköping International Business School, Europe's premier centre on media business issues.

The workshop seeks assessments and evaluations regarding the contemporary status of the "New Economy" and new media firms, enabling critical discussions of their status and future and their implications for policy making and promoting entrepreneurship. Papers should develop an understanding of the issues and strategies that bind media firms to the "New Economy" and guide them through growth to a successful ageing.

The New Economy has implications not only for the macro-economy but also for the management, marketing and financing of the companies: the workshop seeks contributions on relevant issues and strategies that influence company decisions, organizational structures, media content and public interest.

Papers are sought on issues such as

-	Maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit in an established firm

-	Changing demands on financial management past the introduction stage
-	Challenges of growth in adolescent firms
-	Changing leadership and managerial needs in growing and maturing firms
