[eccr] EM: Changes at the Editorial Office

Dear Colleagues --

EM - Electronic Markets is a leading scientific journal
for advancing the understanding and practice of electronic
markets and commerce (http://www.electronicmarkets.org).

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We would like to announce some changes to the editorial
office of EM - Electronic Markets which will be taking
place over the next few weeks.

Lucia Pavlikova will be completing her 2 1/2 year tenure as
Executive Editor at the end of this year. From January 2004
onward, her current role of Executive Editor will be
divided up into those of:

*Co-Editor*, responsible for strategic planning in
coordination with the Editor-in-Chief, and generally for all
content-related matters, and

*Managing Editor*, responsible for managing the
administrative process.

The position of Co-Editor will be taken over by Dr. Hans-
Dieter Zimmermann. Hans-Dieter has a background in Business
Administration and Information Systems and has been doing
research in the field of Electronic Markets for more than
ten years.

The position of Managing Editor will be taken over by Ms
Yingzi Xu. Yingzi completed her MA in European Communication
Studies at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in 2003, and her
MSc in International Business and Management at Sheffield
Hallam University in 2000.

Until now the editorial office of EM - Electronic Markets
has been based on a 2 1/2-year rotating executive editorship
which managed both content-related and administrative
aspects of the day-to-day running of the journal.

The staffing structure has been reconfigured as outlined
above in order to give EM - Electronic Markets the
additional resources required by its broadening scope and
demanding quality standards.
