Danish documentary shows uncovered EU

The film by Danish reporter Christoffer Gulbrandsen, authorised by
Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, is due to be broadcast
today on the public channel DR1. The documentary raised comments and
criticism from EU leaders as it shows a crude glimpse behind the
political scene at last December's EU summit. "Did I tell you that
Joschka Fischer has had three different points of view about Turkey's EU
candidacy?" confides Stig Moller - Danish foreign affairs minister - to
Mr Rasmussen under the scope of Mr Gulbrandsen's (in)discreet digital
camera. Danish prime minister has been criticised for authorising the
broadcast "the prize to be paid for openness and transparency in the
EU", he said. The documentary also shows the role of the Danish Premier
as the recipient of Mr Putin's comments about Western and Russian
journalists as he exited at the press briefing, "they are all bandits".
