Europe's top newspapers come together

The Daily Telegraph has joined three other leading European newspapers
in forming an alliance to encourage co-operation between the papers and
their websites.  

The European Dailies Alliance (EDA), comprising Le Figaro in France, ABC
in Spain, Die Welt in Germany and The Daily Telegraph in Britain, will
try to offer help to correspondents from the others.

telegraph.co.uk will provide direct links to the websites of European
colleagues; they, in turn, will link directly to telegraph.co.uk.

The EDA brings together four of Europe's oldest newspapers, with
more than 450 years of combined journalistic experience: Le Figaro was
established in 1828, The Daily Telegraph in 1855, ABC in 1903 and Die
Welt in 1946.
