You are invited to take part in the organisation meeting designed to establish a European Association for Media Management Education at Hotel NH Grand Place Arenberg (Rue d'Assault 15, 1000 Brussels, Belgium) on Friday through Saturday in April 25 - 26, 2003.
The organisation will have the aims of
Those taking part in the organisational meeting will become founding members of the organisation and play the critical role of determining its structure, establishing its policies, setting out its operations, and selecting its key personnel.
The impetus for the establishment of the organisation comes from the increasing development of media management and econmics education in university departments of communications and media studies, business schools, technical schools, and industry organisations and desires to coordinate and improve education offered by the different types of programmes at the different educational levels.
The association intends to serve the range of needs of institutions and federations, including those that offer full degrees in media management, economics and business, those that offer a few courses, and those that offer only a single course.
The conference will feature two days of presentations and discussions. The first day will be devoted to discussion of current approaches and offerings in different types of institutions and federations. The second day will organise the European Association for Media Management Education and select its leadership for the coming year.
