Filmvisio is an online, open-access, peer-reviewed film studies journal
published twice a year (June and December) by the Faculty of
Communication at Istanbul University. The journal’s primary aim is to
examine cinema both as an art form and as a mass medium, with a focus on
its ethical, political, philosophical, aesthetic, social, and
technological dimensions. Filmvisio publishes original research articles
and review essays, as well as reviews of books, films, and television
series, festival and conference reports, and interviews. The journal
accepts submissions on a rolling basis throughout the year. The journal
does not charge authors any submission, processing, or publication fees.
