Thu Nov 14 16:57:04 GMT 2019
New Report:
"The (Private) News Sharing Report. A starting guide for researchers and
journalists"
This report was made with in-depth interviews and looking for the best
media practices with private messaging networks.
In news sharing research, a new broad theoretical foundation is needed,
with quantitative studies, digital etnographies or uses and
gratifications approaches, and even combining these theories and
deriving new ones. We utilize the results of this preliminary research
with interviews to provide insights so that journalism can be improved,
and academic research of journalism can move forward in news sharing
research.
The report was prepared by José Manuel Noguera-Vivo at American
University of Washington D.C., during a research stay from June to
September 2019.
This report will serve as starting guide for researchers and
journalists, in order to improve the journalism focused on private
messaging networks.
Please feel free to use the report and share it within your networks.
