[ecrea] New book on The Right to Information

Mon May 18 20:55:47 GMT 2009

The Right to Information: A Global Perspective by K.M.Shrivastava is the first comprehensive book in the market on a subject, which is of increasing global interest. More than 80 countries already have an FOI/RTI law and other are proceeding towards it. There are country-specific manuals and studies, there are many websites devoted to FOI issues, but there is not a single book, which looks at the subject from global perspective. The book is an attempt to fill this void.
Contents:

Chapter 1: Beginnings

Chapter 2.: United Nations, Commonwealth & EU

Chapter 3: United States

Chapter 4: United Kingdom

Chapter 5: India

Chapter 6: Trends and Future

Chapter 7: RTI Miscellany
