Lecturer – Film Production

The University is seeking to appoint an inspirational film production professional and experienced academic to join our expanding course team.

The Lecturer: Film Production will be an advocate for the cultural, social and economic benefit of the arts, who shares the values of the University. Candidates will be able to deliver and develop innovative learning and teaching strategies including digital materials and hybrid learning to promote an inclusive learning environment. You will have the ability to work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, bringing diverse voices into our student experience, ensuring the support we give our students is culturally competent.

The successful applicant will have experience and knowledge of the industry to inspire and teach across a range of specialist subjects. As well as being able to teach across a broad range of film production practices, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Production Design or Producing. The ideal candidate would also have some experience in Virtual Production and other emerging forms of production, demonstrate excellent skills in collaboration, communication and academic support and evidence of enhancing student educational experience and outcomes.

You will possess a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary Film Production, with a proven track record in professional Film or HETV production together with teaching experience in Higher Education. You will bring a network of diverse and strong professional relationships and be able to apply your knowledge and experience of professional requirements for undergraduate study that are clearly focused on preparing students for a long-term career in the world. You will have the ambition to equip students with the social and cultural capital that will allow them to confidently grasp graduate-level opportunities and challenges.
Salary: £33,797 to £40,322 per annum
