[ecrea] Short term fellowship opportunities at Bournemouth University

The Centre for the Study of Journalism, Culture &
Community<https://research.bournemouth.ac.uk/centre/journalism-culture-and-community/>
invites applications for short-term residential fellowships, to carry
out independent research at Bournemouth University. Fellowships are open
to both early-career and experienced researchers with a specific
interest in any of the focus research areas of the Centre outlined
below. The selected applicants will be expected to contribute to the
Centre’s activities and research projects, including a requirement to
present their research in a Faculty seminar. Successful Fellows may also
be invited to apply for a Marie-Curie Individual
Fellowship<https://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/portal/desktop/en/opportunities/h2020/topics/msca-if-2017.html>
with BU support.
The fellowships are available for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum
of six weeks. Fellows will be provided with:
• Access to library resources and University facilities;
• Contribution to travel expenses for up to £300 (Europe) and £600
(Overseas);
• Contribution to accommodation/subsistence expenses of £200;
• Academic and administrative support to apply for Marie-Curie
Individual Fellowship (deadline 14 September 2017).
Focus Research Areas:
• Reading, Writing and Publishing in the Digital Age
• Literature and Medicine/Graphic Medicine
• Media and Cultural Implications of ‘Brexit’
• Civic Media
• Data storytelling
• Journalism and innovation
• Representing crisis and conflict, including trauma
Whilst these areas will be prioritised, you are also welcome to apply
with projects covering other areas that are broadly aligned with the
