[Commlist] MeCCSA 2026 conference at the University of Leicester (Sept 2-4)

We are delighted to invite you to the MeCCSA Annual Conference 2026, 
taking place at the University of Leicester from 2–4 September 2026. The 
conference will bring together scholars from across the UK and 
internationally to explore the theme "From the mainstream to the 
margins: Capturing developing practices, publics and persuasion” through 
more than 100 papers, panels, roundtables and special events.

The programme addresses many of the most pressing issues facing media 
and cultural research today, including:

  * Artificial intelligence, platforms and digital power.
  * Journalism, democracy, misinformation and political communication.
  * Identity, inequality, representation and belonging.
  * Creative labour, influencer cultures and media industries.
  * Climate communication, environmental activism and sustainability.
  * Film, television, audio, podcasting and emerging media forms.
