papers for the international conference “Music, Invisibility,
Vulnerability, and Political Participation,” which will take place in
*Besançon, France, on October 19 and 20, 2026*
By exploring the intersection of music, invisibility, vulnerability, and
political participation, this conference aims to create a space for
interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together researchers from across
Europe. It will examine music not only as a reflection of social
inequalities, but also as an active mechanism for revealing invisibility
and reconfiguring social bonds, considering music as a means of
reinventing collective engagement
