Call for Papers -- Brazilian Creative Industries Journal (BCIJ) Special 
Issue: Creative Industries, Acceleration and Mental Health

The Brazilian Creative Industries Journal invites submissions for the 
special issue "Creative Industries, Acceleration and Mental Health".

This special issue aims to gather contributions exploring the 
relationships among creative industries, the social acceleration of 
time, and mental health. It examines both the challenges and 
opportunities for transforming professional, organisational, and 
cultural practices in this field. We are keen to reflect on how 
accelerated temporal regimes, productivist cultures, and visibility and 
performance dynamics influence those who work in or engage with 
contemporary creative production.

In light of this, we welcome theoretical, empirical, and methodological 
articles addressing -- or related to -- the following themes, among others:

  * Temporal regimes and acceleration in the creative industries
  * Platformisation of creative work
  * Metrics and algorithmic governance
  * Mental health and precarious labour in creative sectors
  * Inequalities in the creative field
  * Public policies and regulation of the creative industries
  * Practices of resistance, care, and deceleration
  * Methodological approaches to the study of creative work in digital
    contexts

Submissions are accepted in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. All papers 
will undergo a double-blind peer review process. No Article Processing 
Charges (APCs) or any other author fees will be required. All 
manuscripts must follow the journal's submission guidelines, available
