Please consider submitting your work to the Economics, Communication, and Society (ECS) Division for the 112th Annual National Communication Association Convention, to be held November 19–22, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

ECS provides a welcoming intellectual home for scholarship examining the relationships among communication, economic systems, and social life. The division supports research in areas such as the rhetoric of economics, cultural studies of the economy, political economy of communication, and critical organizational communication. We encourage work that bridges subfields within communication as well as interdisciplinary research connecting communication with other disciplines. We especially welcome submissions that push theoretical, methodological, and topical boundaries.

Submissions may include individual papers, paper sessions, and panel discussions. The division sponsors Top Paper and Top Student Paper Awards and welcomes volunteers to serve as reviewers, chairs, and respondents; graduate students are especially encouraged to participate.

Submission deadline: March 25, 2026 (11:59 PM PT)
