We are pleased to share the Call for Papers for the international 
conference “Digital Sovereignty in Conflict” which will take place in 
Paris on 24-25 March 2027, organised by the DIGISOV project and the 
Research Chair in Digital Regulation at Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas.

The conference aims to bring together researchers in political science, 
sociology, STS, international relations, law, and related disciplines 
whose work examines how claims to sovereignty are articulated, 
negotiated, and challenged across different digital domains and 
jurisdictions, in a context of international rivalries, trade wars, and 
the resurgence of armed conflicts.

The conference will focus on three main themes:
1/ Data and Market Regulation as Sites of Conflict in a Multiplex World
2/ Controversies and Crises over Digital Infrastructures and Industrial 
Strategies
3/ The Battle for the Digital Public Sphere

Paper proposals should include a title and an extended abstract of 
maximum 800 words (including bibliography) and be submitted by 30 
October 2026 on the following platform:

we are unable to accommodate requests for virtual presentations.
