[Commlist] CFP: Critical/Cultural Communication Interest Group at Eastern Communication Association conference 2027

Two weeks left: ECA 2027 Critical/Cultural Communication CFP

The Eastern Communication Association conference deadline is just two 
weeks away, and the Critical/Cultural Communication Interest Group would 
love to receive your paper, panel, roundtable, or open-forum proposal.

This year's theme, Full Circle, invites us to consider cycles of 
history, power, resistance, memory, and return. How do critical and 
cultural communication scholars revisit foundational voices and 
frameworks amid contemporary struggles? How do marginalized communities 
navigate cycles of resistance, co-option, and reclamation? When history 
appears to repeat itself, does that repetition invite fatalism, or 
collective action and transformation?

We welcome rigorous, creative, and emerging work on culture, 
communication, ideology, identity, technology, politics, and social 
change. Works in progress are warmly encouraged, as are panels and 
roundtables that bring together students, faculty, activists, artists, 
and community voices.

The 118th Annual Eastern Communication Association Convention will take 
place March 30-April 4, 2027, at the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, 
Virginia. The deadline for submissions is October 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. 
PST.
