Conference Overview
The International Conference on Navigating Digital Futures: Platforms, 
Marketing & Ethics provides a forum for interdisciplinary dialogue on 
the intersections of digital technologies, communication practices, and 
ethical frameworks in contemporary society. It brings together scholars, 
researchers, practitioners, and graduate students from India and abroad 
to critically examine emerging trends in platform economies, digital 
marketing, and media ethics. Mandatory in-person participation applies 
for India-based presenters; hybrid/online participation is available for 
international participants.

Conference Tracks
1.⁠ ⁠Platform Labour – Work in the Age of Platforms, Gig Economies, 
Algorithmic Governance, Gendered Dimensions, Inclusive Futures of Work.
2.⁠ ⁠Technology-Driven Marketing – AI-Driven Marketing, Influencer 
Cultures, Ethical Marketing, Digital Persuasion, Gender, and Representation.
3.⁠ ⁠Digital Humanities and Sustainability – Sustainable Digital 
Ecosystems, AI for Sustainability, Industry 4.0 and Ethical Innovation, 
Climate Communication.
4.⁠ ⁠Research Ethics – Academic Integrity in the Age of Generative AI, 
Transparency, Inclusion, and Indigenous Knowledge Representation.
A special segment invites documentary film submissions on digital 
cultures, gendered perspectives, and ethical dilemmas.

Submission Guidelines
•⁠  ⁠Abstracts: 350–500 words (APA 7th edition). Submissions must be 
original, unpublished, and in English.
•⁠  ⁠Indicate the preferred conference track.
•⁠  ⁠Up to four co-authors per paper (each author must register 
individually).
•⁠  ⁠No payment from authors is required for submission or review.

Publication Opportunities
Participants are invited to submit their full papers for independent 
publication consideration in the partner journals listed below or as 
part of a forthcoming edited volume with a leading international 
publisher, such as Emerald or Bloomsbury, aligned with the conference 
themes. Interested scholars must follow each journal’s specific 
submission guidelines, thematic alignment, and double-blind peer review 
process. Partner journals include Humanities and Social Sciences 
Communications (Springer Nature), Journal of International Women’s 
Studies (Bridgewater State College), South Asian Journal of Marketing 
(Emerald Publishing), International Journal of Pluralism and Economics 
Education (Inderscience) and over thirty participating journals from 
Wiley. Select papers aligned with specific thematic calls, such as 
Discover Sustainability (Springer Nature), may also be considered for 
special issues. Conference participation does not imply or guarantee 
publication of any submitted work, and the organisers will not be 
responsible for facilitating or ensuring publication.
