CFP: **Environmental Journalism and EcoFact-Checking in the face of the
Triple Planetary Crisis**
Digital Journalism invites scholars and interdisciplinary experts to
contribute to a peer-reviewed Scopus journal issue about the the
intersection of environmental journalism and the expanding field of
digital journalism studies.
*Editors: Carolina Fernández-Castrillo (Carlos III University of Madrid,
Spain), Antonio López (John Cabot University, Rome, Italy), Ramón
Salaverría (University of Navarra, Spain), Vitor Tomé (Autonoma
University of Lisbon, ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal).

We welcome submissions that answer questions including but not limited
to the following:
Environmental Journalism.
EcoFact-Checking.
Media Literacy.
Activist Journalism.
Civic Engagement.
Emerging practices.
*Submission Guidelines:*
**
*Abstract Submission Deadline*: January 12, 2026. Extended abstracts
should include an overview of 500 words, not including references, as
well as a full list of authors, affiliations, and abbreviated bios for
each author. Please include "Special Issue: DJ” in the subject title and
send it as one file (PDF) with your names clearly stated on the first

* Notification of abstract acceptance: February 16, 2026.
* Full text Submission Deadline: April 27, 2026.
* Full text length between 7,000 and 9,000 words. Please include

*Papers will be blind peer-reviewed according to DJ policies.
*Final publication in 2027.
*Authors are not required to pay submission or publication charges,
