Irradia Radio Art Festival Extends Submission Deadline to August 3

The call for papers for the Irradia Festival 2025 is open until August 
03 [extended]. From now on, the event will be held every two years, so 
don't miss the chance to submit your work for our third edition.

The selected radio art and sound art works will be part of our special 
program broadcast in October on the radio stations Universitária FM 
107.9 (Fortaleza-CE) and Universitária FM 104.7 (Vitória-ES). Focused on 
sound experimentation, radio art is a creative language that explores 
radio as an artistic medium. Take part!

The festival welcomes productions in the most diverse formats of radio 
art, such as soundscape, acoustic art, sound/phonetic poetry, innovative 
proposals for radio programs, radio documentaries, radio drama and other 
experiments with sounds of different origins and natures. The curators 
are Marina Mapurunga (UFRB), Ajítẹnà Marco Scarassatti (UFMG), Yuri 
Bruscky (Uniaeso/PE), Thaís Aragão (UFC) and Pedro Marra (UFES).

Irradia seeks to bring the public closer to artistic production aimed at 
listening, presenting works created for the radio medium and signed by 
artists from Brazil and abroad. The initiative arises from the 
collaboration between extension projects linked to the university radio 
stations of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and the Federal 
University of Espírito Santo (UFES).

Registration is free and must be completed using the form available at

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Each participant may send up to 02 (two) of their own works (including 
co-authorship), requiring one registration per work;

• Each work must have a maximum duration of 60 (sixty) minutes;

• Albums will not be accepted as a single work;

• Works already registered in the previous edition will not be accepted;

• Each audio must be sent in a single file, in high quality (in the case 
of MP3: 44.1kHz, minimum 256kbps);

• The file must be available for download via a valid and permanent link 
on services such as SoundCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc. Do 
not use temporary storage services such as WeTransfer;

• The works must have been produced from 2020 onwards;

• It is not necessary that the works be unpublished;

• In the case of works produced for broadcast on other stations or 
events, we request that the credits be updated to address the audience 
of the Irradia Festival and/or the stations that broadcast the event 
(Rádio Universitária FM 107.9 of Fortaleza and Rádio Universitária FM 
104 .7 Vitória)
